Instagram DM analyzer
Instagram won’t tell you who texts first or who takes longer to reply, but your messages download keeps it all. Upload it, pick the conversation you care about, and see whether your DMs go both ways: initiative, reply speed, questions, flirting and plans.
What do you want to measure?
Instagram is already picked; you choose the kind of chat. Free, and nothing leaves your phone.

How to analyze an Instagram chat
- 1
Download your messages
Profile → ☰ → Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Export your information, ticking Messages only. Instagram takes minutes to hours and gives you a .zip (JSON or HTML, both work).
- 2
Upload it and pick the conversation
The .zip holds all your chats: Mutuo shows you the list and only reads the one you pick. It all happens in your browser.
- 3
See the result
A 0–100 score, who puts more into each signal, and whether the conversation is warming up or cooling down.
What we look at
What it measures in your DMs
The same as in a WhatsApp chat, because the signs of interest are the same: what matters is comparing what each person does.
Who texts firstWho opens the conversation each time, not counting replies.
Reply timeHow long each of you usually takes to reply.
QuestionsWho shows interest in the other, and who just answers.
FlirtingCompliments, nicknames, hearts and 😏 (in Crush mode).
Double textsWho sends two or three messages without a reply.
PlansWho suggests moving from DMs to meeting up.

Your Instagram download never leaves your phone
Instagram’s export contains all your conversations. That’s why Mutuo opens it inside your browser, lets you pick one, and sends nothing to any server.
You never give us your Instagram username or password, and the other person gets no notification.
FAQ
Can I analyze an Instagram chat without giving my password?
Yes. You don’t log in to Instagram through Mutuo: you download your messages from the Instagram app and upload the file. Step by step in how to download your Instagram messages.
How long does Instagram take to send my messages?
From a few minutes to several hours, depending on your account’s size. Choosing Messages only and low media quality speeds it up.
Does Mutuo read all my conversations?
No: it shows you the list of conversations so you can pick one, and only analyzes that one. Group chats can’t be measured.
Does it count story replies?
It counts the messages that show up in the exported conversation. Story replies usually appear as messages; likes on posts don’t.
What about Messenger?
It works too: the Messenger download (from Facebook) is uploaded the same way, and you pick the conversation.
